I am delighted to announce the first edition The Art and Science of Uncertainty & the Future: an interdisciplinary summer school hosted by the Data Lab for Social Good Research Group.

First Edition: July 2026

The inaugural edition will be held 6–11 July 2026. Over the course of one intensive week, participants will engage with four keynote lectures by leading thinkers, a series of research talks, five hands-on workshops, two panel discussions, and a site visit. The programme is designed to foster dialogue across disciplines and to explore how uncertainty is understood, communicated, and acted upon in shaping future outcomes.

The summer school is aimed at PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, early-career researchers, and practitioners who wish to engage deeply with the challenges and opportunities posed by uncertain futures.
